This will be the first time ive shown the new Cobalt 60 story in its pencil state for a glimpse into the future of the cobalt 60 saga Im up to page 46 we will see how far im to finish by the time of the show. Isabel does a diary type strip that is on a 400 foot roll of paper and Mike Dingle (a dear friend of mine) does collage on a large level..
The Soma arts building is huge so I am doing a big canvas of Cobalt 15 x 15 ft for the show.. DJ CUBA will be spinning and others for the opening..and yes thats my fathers image on the flyer we must pay homage to the original to keep the spirits happy, so on with the story..

Mark Bode Underground Comics and Character Development Class |
Mark has worked in comics for 30 years, a career built on the back of his legendary father Vaughn Bode who has influenced the world of graffiti with his style of comic art.
His work has appeared in such published books and magazines as Epic illustrated ,Heavy Metal, Penthouse, Hustler and Juxtapoz.
His comic work in the past years include
Miami Mice, Cobalt 60, The Lizard of OZ, Gyro Comics, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #s 18 and issue # 32, and TMNT special Times Pipeline..
Currently he is working on the second half of the Cobalt 60 saga for Dark Horse comics.
Mark has sold his comic adaptation of Cobalt 60 to Universal Studios for a live action Movie that starts production in 2009, by Director Zack Snyder of Frank Millers "300" and soon to be released "Watchmen" the movie fame..
Mark will be doing 4 two hour classes at First Amendment gallery in SF with emphasis on character design and development, story , plot and panel composition.,. As well as shed some light on how to make it in the comics and art world.
- Each class will begin easy for those who may not have done comics before.
- There will be a hands on interactive draw along in each class so bring a pad and paper and a pencil and eraser and various tipped black pens for inking.
- Due to some mature subject matter ages 15 and up suggested but if you have a parents consent we may make an exception.

After two years, Overkill invites the legendary comic character "Cheech Wizard" and it's illustrator Mark Bodé back to Berlin again.
The San Francisco-based artist took one weekend off to present his and his father Vaughn Bodé's eclectic work in Berlin.
